MANU University distance Follow-on Courses - Registration date extended

The Directorate of Distance Education, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has extended the last date of registration with late fee for distance mode follow one courses. The last extended date for Under Graduate (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com - 2nd& 3rd year) and all Post Graduate final year courses is 20th December, 2019, no further extension will be made after this.
Students who have not yet registered, can register online with late fee of Rs. 500/-.
According to Prof. Abul Kalam, Director, DDE, considering the representations received from students and coordinators of Learner Support Centre, the date of registration has been extended. For further details please visit university website manuu.edu.in.

Seminar on Art & Culture in Deccan at MANU University

Haroon Khan Sherwani Centre for Deccan Studies (HKCDS) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), is organizing a two day national seminar on “Evolution of Sciences & Arts, Civilization & Culture in Deccan, from Kakatiya to Asafjahi period” on 29th& 30th January, 2020.
The inaugural session will be held on 29th January 2020, 10.30 am. at Library Auditorium, MANUU Campus.
According to Prof. Naseemuddin Farees, Director I/c, HKCDS, Prof. Arvind P. Jamkhedka, Chairman, Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhiwill be the chief guest. Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU will preside over the inaugural. Prof. M. N. Sayeed, Bengaluru, Prof. K. Muzaffar Ali Shahmiri, Vice Chancellor, Abdul Haq Urdu University, Kurnool will will be the guests of honour. Eminent intellectuals, researchers, historians of Deccan and scholars from universities will present papers.

FTII Smartphone Film Making course at MANU University

Instructional Media Centre (IMC) of the Maulana Azad National Urdu University is conducting 10 daysBasic Course in Smartphone Film Makingcourse in collaboration with Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune &Skilling India in Film and Television (SKIFT) from 6th to 16th January 2020.

Mr. Ritesh Taksande, Director, Cinematographer, Film-Maker and Media Educator, who worked on many national and international film projects, will conduct the course.
The course consists of fundamental technology, theory, history, techniques and applications of film making & photography. It includes artistic & aesthetic analysis of student created short films. It would also focus on understanding the creative eye behind the camera/ Smartphone and how to develop the skill of storytelling using Camera/ Smartphone.
