Urdu Social Science Congress today at MANUU

Hyderabad:

Centre for Promotion of Knowledge in Urdu (CPKU) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in association with School of Arts and Social Sciences (SA&SS), is organizing the third National Urdu Social Science Congress on November 27 and 28. The theme of the congress is “Social Sciences in 21st Century - Concerns and Challenges

The inaugural session will be held on 27th November, 9.30 am at Saiyid Hamid Library Auditorium, MANUU campus.

Prof. Obaidullah Fahad Falahi, Head, Department of Islamic Studies, Alighar Muslim University will be the Chief Guest. Prof. Ishrath Alam, Department of History, AMU is the Guest of Honour. Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor will preside over and Prof. Ayub Khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor will deliver welcome address.

 

MANUU observes Constitution Day

 Hyderabad: 

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) observed Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) today in the campus. Banners, posters and publicity material were placed across the campus to celebrate the event. Prof. Ayub Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, MANUU read out the Preamble of the Constitution of India to the students and staff members.

The programme was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell  of MANUU.  

While explaining different terminologies and concepts in the Preamble, Prof. Ayub Khan urged students to keep themselves updated with the Constitution and amendments made to it from time to time, and uphold the Constitution in their day-to-day lives.

The arrangement for live telecast of Honorable President and Prime Minister’s addresses were made in the Seminar Hall of Department of Mass Communication & Journalism. The participants listened to the address of the President of India and discussed various issues with the faculty members. 

Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, NSS Coordinator and program organizer, clarified doubts of the students regarding the Constitution. He informed that banners, posters and publicity material were placed across the campus to celebrate the Constitution Day. Earlier, NSS Student volunteers welcomed the gathering.

 

Extension lecture held on Constitution Day:

Department of Education and Training, MANUU organised an extension Lecture on the occasion. Prof. Afroz Alam, Head, Dept. of Political Science, MANUU delivered the lecture “Right to Education and Constitution of India”.

He highlighted Constitutional values, history of Indian Constitution and the various Articles related to Education and emphasized that everyone should know constitutional fundamental duties. Some important features of Constitution should be included in School Curriculum for awareness of students, he suggested.

Professor Noushad Husain, Dean, School of Education, MANUU chaired the programme. Dr. Ashwani, Associate Professor is the  Coordinator of the programme. Saddam, B.Ed. Student, briefed about the aims and objectives of the programme.

 

Faculty Development Program on Networks, Internet inaugurated

Hyderabad:

Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, School of Technology, Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organizing Faculty Development Programme on “Sensor Networks, Internet of Things and Internet of Everything” from November 25 to December 8, 2019.

Prof. Ayub Khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MANUU inaugurated the programme and spoke about the importance of mathematics in computer sciences and allied subjects.

Keynote Speaker Prof. Mirza Salim Beg while addressing the participants encouraged them with his thought provoking speech. Prof. S.M Rahmatullah, Incharge Registrar and Mr. M. G. Gunasekaran, Finance Officer, MANUU also expressed their views on technology.

Dr Pradeep Kumar, Head of the Department emphasized that the connectivity, communication and automation are the new revolution. IoT will play a major role in the transformation of India into a digital economy as it is a part of broadband highway that will deliver a wide range of e-governance and citizen services to all corners of the country, he added.

 Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean, School of Technology welcomed the guests whereas Dr. Khaleel Ahamed, Assistant Professor proposed vote of thanks. Assistant Professors and Coordinators of the Program - Mr. Jameel Ahamed and Ms. Tunga Arundhathi briefed about the program.
