MANUU Staff Tournament, Prizes distributed among winners

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) held prize distribution ceremony in the evening of 23rd September at Indoor Stadium among the winners of Maulana Azad Staff Tournament. The Directorate of Physical Education & Sports, MANUU organized the tournament inaugurated on 5th September with the support of Indian Bank,MANUU Teachers Association, MANUU Officers Association and MANUU Employees Welfare Association.
The chief guest, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor distributed the prizes among the winners in different sports
Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, MANUU, Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Chairman, Sports and Games committee, Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean School of Technology,Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed I Patel, Provost Boys, Dr. Viquar unnisa, Provost Girls, Indian Bank Manager, Gachibowli, Dr. Bonto Kotaiah, President MANUUTA, Mr. Mujahid Ali, President, MOA, and Shaik Naveed, president MEWA were the guests of honours.
This tournament was held in Athletics (100 mtr Run, Discus throw, Shot put, Javelin throw), Carrom, Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, and Cricket. Approximately 400 staff (Men & Women) participated in the Tournament.
Shaik Ibrahim was the winner of Athletics Upto 40 years category, whereas Gulam M, Abdullah and Dr.Md Zubair Ahmad win in above 40 and 50 years categories respectively. In women Athletics Dr.R.Sucharitha was the winner of upto 40 years category and J.Jyothi for above 40 year category. P.Habibulla declared winner for discus throw men category and Getta Pattun won discus throw women competition. In Javelin (Men) competition P. Habibulla was the winner and Dr.R.Sucharitha won Javelin (Women) competition. B.Bikshapathi declared winner for shot put men whereas Geeta Pattun for shotput women competition. Mohammed Ameer was the winner of chess men competition and Dr.R.Sucharitha won in women's category. In Badminton (Men and Women) Singles P.Habibulla and Dr.R.Sucharitha declared winners. P.Habibulla and Shaik Naveed won Badminton (Men) Doubles whereas Dr.R.Sucharitha and Dr.Tanveer Fatima were the winners of Badminton (women) Doubles. In Badminton (mixed) Doubles Shaik Naveed and Shaik Zareena were the winners. Mr. Likhaur Rahaman was the winner of Table Tennis (Men) Singles whereas Sameena Tabassum won in women category. In Table Tennis (Men) Doubles Mohammed Mujahid Ali and Dr. B. Murahari declared winner. J.Devender and J.Jyothi won Carrom Singles under men and women category respectively. Shaik Manjoor and Md.Imran won Carrom (Men) Doubles. C.Archana and J.Jyothi declared winner for Carrom (women) Doubles. Polytechnic – Hyderabad team won Volleyball mens competition.
