Dean, Students' Welfare

The Dean, Students' Welfare, is responsible for the overall well-being of students and fostering a balanced relationship between their intellectual and social lives to help them grow into mature and responsible individuals.

The Dean will provide guidance and support to students in the following areas:

• Organization and development of student bodies
• Counselling and student guidance facilities
• Promotion of student participation in co-curricular and social activities
• Financial aid as per University decisions
• Student-teacher and student-administration relationships
• Career advice and campus placements
• Educational tours and excursions (outside curriculum)
• Support for further studies in India or abroad
• Addressing any other student-related concerns

The Dean shall also:

• Coordinate hostel activities and shift residents when necessary
• Arrange railway concessions and travel support for students
• Disburse scholarships, stipends, and other financial aid
• Work as per the University regulations and directions from the Vice Chancellor
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Academic Council or Vice Chancellor

• Handling student complaints and suggestions
• Organizing the Student Induction Programme
• Career guidance
