MANUU Organises farewell to Prof. Fatima Begum Prof. S. M. Rahmatullah new In-Charge Vice-Chancellor
Vice-Chancellor I/c of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Prof Fatima Begum, retired on Superannuation today on July 31, 2020. Prof. S. M. Rahmatullah, Registrar I/c, the senior most Professor, has taken the charge from her.
The Department of Education and Training organized a farewell, with all precautions in the wake of Covid-19, in honour of outgoing Professor at conference hall.
While addressing, Prof. Fatima Begum recalled the memorable days spent in MANUU as Professor Education. She also thanked teachers, students and non-teaching officials and staff for extending their extraordinary cooperation during her short stint as Vice-Chancellor I/c. She hoped that Prof. S. M. Rahmatullah with the support of all the stake holders of MANUU would take it to greater heights in days to come. She extended best wishes to all the colleagues.
Prof Fatima Begum was appointed as Professor at Department of Education and Training, MANUU in 2006. She served in different capacities as Dean School of Education &Training, head of Department and was also member of Finance Committee, Executive Council, Academic Council etc.
Prof. S. M. Rahmatullah, Registrar I/c presented shawl & memento and conveyed his best wishes for her. He also appreciated her dedicated services to the University. Prof. Fatima is a good person, an excellent teacher, a scholar and has delivered good in the administrative positions, he added. Mr. M G Gunasekaran, Finance Officer handed over gratuity cheque to Prof Fatima Begum.
Prof. Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Prof. Shahid Raza, Dr. Firoz Alam, Dr. K M Ziauddin, Dr. Kafil Ahmed, Dr. Viquar Unnisa, Dr. Mohammed Kamil, Dr. Jamaluddin Khan, Mr. Zahid Shaikh, Dr. Mazhar Quadri, Dr. Imtiyaz Alam also paid tributes for her dedicated & sincere services.
Prof. Shahida, Dr. Munawar Hussain , Mr. Mohd. Hashim Ali Sajid and others were also present. Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood conducted the proceedings.
Earlier, Mr. Mohammed Mujahid Ali, President, MANUU Administrative Officers Association and other office bearers also felicitated the out going official.
