Profile of Dr. Mohd Rashid

Dr. Mohd. Rashid is an Assistant Professor of Law at MANUU Law School, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad. He holds an LL.B. degree from Shibli National College, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and an LL.M. in Personal Laws from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Muslim Personal Law and has academic as well as professional experience in the fields of legal education, research, and litigation.

Prior to joining MANUU, Dr. Rashid served as an Assistant Professor of Law at Shibli National College, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. He has also been enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi, New Delhi, and has gained professional experience in legal practice.

His principal areas of academic interest include Islamic Jurisprudence, Muslim Personal Law, Hindu Law, Law of Torts, Jurisprudence, and Legal Research Methodology. His research interests particularly encompass contemporary legal issues relating to Muslim Personal Law and the interface between law, society, and religion.

Dr. Rashid has presented research papers at various national seminars and conferences on diverse legal issues, particularly those concerning Muslim Personal Law. His academic engagement reflects a keen interest in legal research, critical inquiry, and the development of a deeper understanding of personal laws and jurisprudential issues.

At MANUU, he is actively involved in teaching, student mentoring, legal aid initiatives, and academic administration. He is committed to fostering legal scholarship, critical thinking, research aptitude, and practical legal education among students. Through his teaching and academic activities, he seeks to contribute to the development of socially aware, ethically grounded, and professionally competent legal graduates.
