Profile of Mohd Jabir

Mohd Jabir is an Assistant Professor of Education (Specializing in English Language Education) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad, with a current position at its CTE - Satellite Campus in Kashmir, India. With a distinguished academic background, he holds an M.Phil.in English (Jaipur National University), B.Ed. and M.Ed. (University of Kashmir), and an M.A. in English (MANUU), all secured with first-division honors. His qualifications involve UGC-NET (Education), UGC-NET (Adult Education/Andragogy), JK-SET (English), C-TET, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching of English (PGCTE), where he secured first position.

Before joining MANUU, Mr. Jabir has an impressive teaching career that spans over ten years, during which he has worked as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) and a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in the School Education Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh. His innovative teaching methods and steadfast commitment to education led him to receive the prestigious National Awards to Teachers – 2022, presented by the Honorable President of India, along with a notable commendation from the Prime Minister of India.

His research investigates innovative and interactive teaching methods aimed at making classroom learning both engaging and effective. He has published research papers and articles and in Scopus-indexed and UGC CARE – listed journals, including the Journal of Intellectual Property Rights (CSIR - NIScPR) and English in Education (Routledge), particularly concentrating on English Language Teaching, pedagogical advancements, and curriculum studies. He has presented at both national and international conferences, addressing topics such as English listening skills, Finnish teacher education, NEP-2020, and critical competencies for the 21st century.

His leadership in academic coordination at MANUU and his noteworthy contributions to the National Curriculum Framework 2022 as the Member Secretary of the Focus Group on Social Science Education are testaments to his commitment to transformative education.
