Our Mission
The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) was established in accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) (Promotion of Equity in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2012.
The EOC aims to promote inclusivity, eliminate discrimination, and safeguard the interests of students and staff from disadvantaged groups, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), minorities, and Persons with Disabilities (PwBD/PWDs).
As per UGC guidelines, the EOC works to create a level playing field by addressing discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender, or disability. It integrates with related committees (e.g., Anti-Ragging Cell, Grievance Redressal Cell, Internal Complaints Committee - ICC) to avoid overlaps and ensure efficient handling of issues.
