An entrance test (except lateral entry) is conducted in the month of June-July every year and the minimum qualification is 10th pass with specified percentage (given in the prospectus released in the month of May-June). A student has to qualify the entrance test to get admission into Polytechnic. For lateral entry into direct second year in Diploma in Engineering the candidate must passed either 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics/Chemistry/ Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship (Any of the three) or 10th + (2 years ITI) with appropriate Trade in that order shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course of appropriate Programme.
