Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) emphasized on the importance of nurturing young faculty while addressing the participants of Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) today. He was presiding over the valedictory session of a month long FIP organized by UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (UGC-MMTTC), MANUU.
A total of 91 newly appointed faculty members from higher educational institutions across the country participated in the training programme which was inaugurated on August 18.
Continuing his address, the Vice Chancellor said “This induction programme has been an investment in the future of higher education. The diverse themes covered will empower new faculty members to balance teaching, research, and societal responsibilities with commitment and excellence.”
Prof. Saneem Fatima, Director, UGC-MMTTC, MANUU, highlighted the vision of the programme and said efforts has been made to instill professional values, enhance teaching competencies, and foster a spirit of academic leadership among the participants.
Certificates were also distributed to the participants on the occasion.
Dr. Meraj Ahmed Mubarki, Assistant Director, UGC-MMTTC, MANUU coordinated the programme.
The sessions were delivered by distinguished resource persons from reputed institutions such as IIT Madras, Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University, University of Hyderabad, TISS Hyderabad, Osmania University, NAARM, and MANUU itself, among others.
The programme was designed to familiarize young faculty with the fundamentals of higher education, pedagogy, research, ethics, and leadership, in alignment with the objectives of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme of UGC.
