MANUU Students Union’s “Jashn-e-Baharan” from today
Hyderabad:
Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s Students Union (MSU) is organizing cultural, literary & sports festival “Jashn-e-Baharan 2023” from June 03 to 12, 2023 under the supervision of Dean Students Welfare, MANUU.
Prof. Shugufta Shaheen, OSD-I & Head, Department of English will inaugurate the festival on June 03, 8.00 am at Dhyan Chand Sports Ground, MANUU campus.
According to Prof. M. A. Sami Siddiqui, Chairman, MSU Advisory Committee, various literary, cultural and sports competitions and activities will be held during the fest including Mega Job Fair on June 12.
The Sports competitions will be held for Athletics, Badminton, Carroms, Chess, Table Tennis, Cricket, Kabaddi, Kho Kho (W), Volley Ball, Football, Weight lifting and Throwball. The literary & cultural activities include Bait Bazi, Essay writing, Elocution, Debate, Spot Photography, Qirat, Antakshri Painting, Poster Making, Meme Making, Youth Parliament, Food Fest, Quiz, Leaders Meet, Mushaira, Cultural Night. The Jashn e Baharan will conclude on June 12 with prize distribution ceremony.
Lecture “Muslims in Higher Education” held by MANUU Literary Club
Hyderabad:
The University Literary Club (ULC) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) organised an invited lecture on “Muslims in Higher Education”. Prof. Mohammad Shahid, Head, Dept. of Social Work delivered the lecture yesterday at Cultural Activity Centre, MANUU.
Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dean Student’s Welfare presided over the session. Dr. Firoz Alam, President, ULC gave a brief account of literary club activities and its future plans. Mr. Meraj Ahmad, Cultural Coordinator helped in organising the program while Mr. Habib Ahmad, Museum Curator offered technical support. Literary Club Joint Secretary and convener of the program Talha Mannan convened the session and Joint Secretary Mazhar Subhani introduced the guests. Mazhar Subhani proposed vote of thanks.
Large number of teachers & students were present in the program.
