Yuva Sangam Program - Arrival of Himachal Pradesh Delegation Traditional Welcome at MANUU on the first day

Hyderabad:

A delegation of students and youth from Himachal Pradesh, as part of the Government of India’s Yuva Sangam initiative under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB), arrived in Hyderabad and visited Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) this morning. The visitors were given a warm and unique welcome with the Arabian tradition of Marfa, along with rhythmic drumbeats adding vibrancy to the occasion.

The delegation from Himachal Pradesh is being led by Dr. Param Singh of NIT, Hamirpur.

Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Head and Dean, School of Mass Communication and Journalism at MANUU and the nodal officer of the Yuva Sangam program in Telangana, welcomed and addressed the delegation, providing a detailed overview of Telangana’s Deccan region and its rich cultural heritage. He highlighted the historical and cultural significance of the Deccan as a melting pot of traditions and a hub of Urdu literature and art.

The team toured the university campus, exploring various schools and departments, where they engaged with faculty and students to gain insights into the academic and cultural environment of MANUU. The visit underscored the spirit of learning and cultural exchange fostered by the Yuva Sangam initiative.

Following their campus tour, the delegation embarked on a journey to discover Hyderabad’s iconic heritage sites. Their itinerary included the Salar Jung Museum, renowned for its world-class collection of art and artifacts, and the historic Charminar, a symbol of Hyderabad’s architectural grandeur. These visits provided the team with a closer look at the city’s legacy and its blend of tradition and modernity.

The Yuva Sangam program, designed to promote people-to-people connections and expose youth to diverse facets of India’s cultural and developmental achievements, continues to strengthen bonds across states, creating memorable experiences and fostering national unity.
