
NCC Annual Training Camp concludes at MANUU
Hyderabad:
The 10-Day Annual NCC Training Camp-IV 2025 organized by 1T Artillery Battery, Hyderabad Group at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) concluded yesterday. During the camp, cadets learned how to handle small arms, how to fire with small arms, and map reading. Daily activities include PT training, drill, theory classes, games and parade, Roll call, cultural practice and Lights out.
The training camp was inaugurated with an opening address by Col. Ravindra Rao, Commanding Officer, 1T Arty Bty NCC and warm welcome by Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar of the university on May 26. The Registrar also planted a sapling during a tree plantation drive conducted during the camp.
Padma Shri Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor emphasized “Nation First” in his address during the cultural programme. NCC cadets presented a Guard of Honour to the Vice-Chancellor on the occasion. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed highlighted national integration, and Prof. M.A. Azeem, Proctor, spoke on unity and discipline. The Vice-Chancellor also presented mementoes to the ANOs of various institutions for their dedication and hard work. Col. Ravindra Rao thanked the university authorities for ensuring a successful training camp.
A yoga session was conducted under the guidance of Yoga Teacher B. Lokeshwar Rao. Cadets completed their firing practice at the Artillery Centre, Golconda Range.
Dr. Mahati Priyadarshini, MBBS, MD, HOD, Critical Care Medicine at Omega Hospital, Gachibowli was invited to deliver guest lecture in CPR session. Mr. Venugopal Rao and Mr. Anil from the Telangana Traffic Police delivered lectures on traffic rules and regulations.
Prizes were distributed for sports competitions during campfire which was conducted at the MANUU Open Air Auditorium on June 03.
Lt. M.A. Mujeeb was appointed as Camp Adjutant for the entire 10-day duration.
