The Cultural Activity Centre, Dean Student’s Welfare (DSW), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), organized a Prize Distribution Ceremony for the competitions held from 17th September to 2nd October 2025under the Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 Campaign, an initiative of the Ministry of Education in line with the Swachh Bharat Mission.

 The Chief Guest, Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dean Students’ Welfare in his address, emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness in everyday life. He noted that such initiatives not only spread awareness but also instill responsibility among youth towards building a clean and sustainable society.

 The prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions held during the campaign.

 The Oscar-winning film "Gandhi" directed by Sir Richard Attenborough, was also screened on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti by the University Film Club.

 Dr. Meraj Ahmed Mubaraki, President, University Film Club, highlighted the significance of the film in portraying the values of truth, non-violence, and simplicity that Mahatma Gandhi stood for. In his address, he emphasized the relevance of Gandhi’s philosophy in the contemporary world.

 The screening was followed by an engaging discussion session where participants reflected on the film’s message and Gandhi’s timeless ideals.

 The active participation of Mr. Meraj Ahmad, Cultural Coordinator; Dr. Jarrar Ahmad, President, UFAC; Mr. M.A. Quddus, Assistant Registrar, Estate Section; along with Secretaries, Joint Secretaries, and members of various clubs added to the success of the event. Faculty, staff, and students took part with great enthusiasm, reaffirming MANUU’s commitment to the spirit of Swachhata Hi Seva.
