

Second phase of online SIP inaugurated at MANUU
Newly enrolled students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University should keep in mind that the success of institution lies in the discipline, peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Prof. S M Rahmatullah, Vice-Chancellor I/c, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today expressed these views in the inaugural of Second Phase of Deekhsharambh-Students Induction Programme (SIP) 2020 organized online for recently admitted students.
The 6 day long programme is being organized by the office of Dean, Student’s Welfare till December 19. The online sessions will be held every day from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm on Instructional Media Centre, MANUU Youtube Channel.
Prof. Rahmatullah advised students not to be discouraged by failures but get motivated by them. Every human being should think of reforming the society and welfare. He highlighted the aims and objectives of the program and asked students to follow the values of humanity, brotherhood and unity espoused by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Summarizing the speeches of all the speakers, he told students to put their problems and worries behind and focus on their goal and achieve success.
Prof. Siddiqui Mohd Mahmood, Registrar I/c while narrating an interesting story, said that in life you will find many admirers and critics, but very few people will correct you. He advised students to see dreams and work hard to fulfill them. Students should try to learn English and Hindi in addition to their subjects, he added. Urdu is medium of instruction in MANUU. He also provided information about various facilities of the university.
Prof. M Vanaja, Director, Directorate of Admissions, Prof. Abdul Sami Siddiqui, Director, CPDUMT and President, Deekhsharambh Task Team also spoke. Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf, Dean, Student’s Welfare delivered the welcome address. Dr. Kahkashan Latif, Assistant Professor, Translation and Coordinator, programme proposed vote of thanks.
