Conclusion

MANUU has started its educational journey in 1998 with the object of providing higher education in Urdu to people through conventional and distance modes. Till date MANUU has produced one lakh forty six thousand eight hundred and sixty five (146865) graduates at different levels from its distance education programmes. And it has produced 15560 graduates from its regular campus programmes till 2019-2020. Of these, it has produced 217 PhDs, 518 MPhils, 4260 Postgraduates 5951 Undergraduates, 33 PG Diploma holders, and 4581 Diploma holders. MANUU is a national university with all India jurisdiction. It sets up its campuses and institutions across the country wherever it finds Urdu knowing populace inhabiting; its study centres of distance education programmes helps it identify such locales. At the quality level MANUU has been striving hard to promote the notions of merit and excellence. Its initiatives such as introduction of online feedback system for all the students, display and discussion of the answer scripts with the students after evaluation, introduction of biometric attendance system for teaching and nonteaching staff, updating of courses in line with the CBCS scheme of UGC, and introduction of University Management System from admissions to examinations are a testimony to its honouring of quality commitments.

MANUU aims to introduce new courses and programmes in science, technology and engineering disciplines. 

At the administration front MANUU has been very transparent. It notifies all its policies and meetings through its website. It publishes the minutes of the meetings of its Executive Council, Academic Council, and Departments’ Boards of Studies etc.
