Executive Summary Criterion-wise Summary on the Institution’s functioning: Criterion-V: Student Support and Progression

MANUU prioritizes students’ needs and progress over everything. It has a very strong student support system. The Provost Offices, the Office of the Dean, Students’ Welfare and the Proctor Office extend all support and provide guidance to students about hostel amenities, social services, welfare measures, and security concerns. 

MANUU has a Training & Placement Cell which organizes transferrable skills personality development, and communication skills workshops. It provides career counselling, and conducts campus placement drives. MANUU also provides guidance for competitive examinations. It also conducts remedial coaching classes.

Directorate of Physical Education (DPE) oversees overall physical and sports activities. It organizes annual inter-school tournaments in the disciplines: table tennis, chess, caroms, kabbadi, best physique, power-lifting, cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, and athletics. Outdoor facilities for cricket, football, basket-ball, lawn tennis, skating, volleyball, kabbadi and kho-kho are available in MANUU. Facilities for indoor games like badminton (wooden courts), table tennis, caroms, chess, modern gymnasium are also available. The DPE also offers course under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in Sports and Physical Education (individual, team, sports fitness, athletics, aquatics, and gymnastics).

MANUU has a well-equipped Health Centre which provides comprehensive primary health care and emergency medical services round the clock. It provides OPD services from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on all working days. Health Centre has separate male and female wards and doctor consultation rooms. A health insurance scheme to cover expenses towards in-patient treatment is also in place, which is mandatory for all the students.  

MANUU has a student council in the form of MANUU Student Union (MSU). Every year elections are held completely supervised by the University.

Students are also provided representation in various academic and administrative committees of the University. They are made members of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Internal Complaints Committee, Institutional Student Grievance Redressal Committee, Departmental Student Grievance Redressal Committee and Collegiate Student Grievance Redressal Committee (Satellite Campus, Lucknow).
