Mr. Rizwan Ahamd selected member of International Documentary Association
Mr. Rizwan Ahamd, Director Instructional Media Centre, Maulana Azad National Urdu University has been selected as the member of prestigious International Documentary Association (IDA) based at Los Angeles, USA. With this membership, Mr. Ahamd now joins a club of extraordinary documentary professionals from all across the world.
IDA is an international platform dedicated to the vision of a world where documentary creators flourish. Founded in 1982, IDA promotes nonfiction filmmakers, and is strives to increase public awareness for the documentary genre.
Mr. Rizwan is enthusiast and lover of the medium of film & cinema and has extensively worked for the audio-visual medium. He is also the member of the Editorial advisory board of prestigious English quarterly journal “Cultural Dialogue” published by Iran Culture House, New Delhi and also been nominated as the member of the International Council for film, Television and audio visual communication(ICFT), UNESCO.
Taking charge as a Director of the Instructional Media Centre of Urdu University in 2017 he has took the Centre to new heights and now IMC is representing MANUU at various national and international platforms. Speaking about his membership of IDA, he says that this is a prestigious membership which will enable IMC with lots of benefits and opportunities, including helping to promote the documentary genre and the ability to engage with other IDA members.
