



MANUU Staff Member Mr. Md. Ahsan Zafar passed away
Hyderabad:
Mr. Md. Ahsan Zafar, Son of Mr. Md. Zafrul Hasan, LDC, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, VTC/ITI Darbhanga, Bihar passed away on November 8, 2021 at the age of 37 years. He is survived by wife and a daughter. Mr. Ahsan Zafar had joined MANUU on February 2, 2007.
A condolence meeting was held today at the University. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Prof. S M Rahmatullah, Pro Vice Chancellor and Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Registrar I/c expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Prof. S M Rahmatullah read out a condolence resolution. Large number of MANUU fraternity attended the meeting to pay homage to departed soul.
MANUU organizes ‘Azad Walk’
Hyderabad:
Maulana Azad National Urdu University, has organized ‘Azad Walk’ at the campus today as part of the ongoing Azad Day Celebrations in run up to National Education Day on 11th November.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan flagged off the Walk from Open Air Theatre at 3.00 pm. He described the 9 day celebrations as a befitting tribute to the legendary personality of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He is a guiding light in every sphere of life. Let us take Maulana as great educationist, mentor, a scholar and a leading freedom fighter, he advised the students. Large number of Students, teachers and employees participated in the Walk which ended at Main Gate of MANUU Campus.
Prof. S M Rahmatullah, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Siddiqui Mohammad Mahmood, Registrar I/c were also present. Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Coordinator, Azad Walk spoke about the importance of the event.
Cultural programme for staff children held at MANUU
Hyderabad:
Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) organized cultural programme for staff children on 7th November, 2021. Rhymes, poems, drawing/painting, elocution and innovative idea pitching programmes were part of the competitions.
Cultural and science programmes play a key role in the development of children and have a positive impact on their future. Prof. Siddiqui Mohammad Mahmood, Registrar I/c, MANUU & Chairperson, Azad Day Celebrations Committee 2021 expressed the view while congratulating parents of those children who participated in various programs and received prizes.
More than 200 children participated in these competitions. Dr. Ahmad Khan, Dr. Qaiser Ahmad, Dr. V S Sumi, Dr. BiBi Raza Khatoon, Dr. Shakera Parveen, Dr. Kahkashan Latif, Dr. Rizwan Ul Haq Ansari, Dr. Parveen Qamar, Dr. Firdaus Tabassum, Dr. Rabia Ismail, Dr. Khaleel Ahmad and Dr. Mohd Omar were the judges of the various competitions.
Prof. Siddiqui Mohammad Mahmood distributed prizes and awards among winners of the competitions.
Dr. Mohd. Yousuf Khan, cordinator thanked the authorities and to all who put efforts in making these competitions successful. Dr. Zafar Gulzar, co-coordinator proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Md Zubair Ahmed, Dr. K M Ziauddin, Dr. Javed Nadeem Nadvi, Dr. Arshia Azam, Dr. Mutyala Rao were the convenors of various programmes.
MANUU to organize online Symposium and Debate on Azad
Hyderabad:
Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), as part of Azad Day Celebrations organize online symposium “Maulana Abul Kalam Azad: An ambassador of National Unity and Integrity” on 9th November, 2021, 11.00 am. The programme will be telecast live on IMC-MANUU Youtube channel.
According to Dr. Ameena Tahseen, Coordinator Symposium, Prof. Amina Kishore, Former Dean & Professor, Azad Chair, MANUU, Prof. Mohammad Mohibul Haque, Dept. of Pol. Sc., AMU and Prof. Mohd. Naseemuddin Farees, Dean, School of Languages, MANUU are the guest speakers. Prof. S.M. Rahmatullah, Pro-Vice Chancellor, MANUU will preside over and Prof. Siddiqui Mohd Mahmood, Registrar I/c will deliver welcome address.
In another event, the final round of debate competition for Hindi and Urdu languages will be held on 9th November, 3.00 pm on the topic “Technology has a damaging impact on the cultural ethos of a society”. The preliminary round was held on the topic “Social Media is a positive tool for online learning” in three languages - Urdu, Hindi and English on 28th October.
