


MANUU to Impart technical skills to school students
Signs MoU with Vista School

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has signed a Memorandumof Understanding (MoU) with Vista School, Gachibowli to provide technical skills and exchange of learners soft skills in consonance with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU who presided over the signing ceremony remarked that education should not be seen in isolation, it must be accompanied with training. NEP has given an opportunity to interact more with other institutions, he said. Prof. Ainul Hasan also emphasized the need to implement the MoU in letter & spirit.
Prof. S. M. Rahmatullah, Pro Vice-Chancellor pointed out that NEP 2020 is different in many aspects. It focuses on skill development along with the education in mother tongue. He asked Vista school to introduce Urdu as second language.
Earlier, Prof. Siddiqui Mohammed Mahmood, Registrar I/c & Ms. Shanti Priya, Principal Vista School signed the MoU. Prof. Siddiqui Mahmood in his address described the MoU as a common cause derived from NEP 2020 which lays emphasize on developing of skills right from school level.
Mr. Suresh Challa, Director, Vista School & Ms. Shanti Priya also addressed and thanked MANUU for extending this opportunity to the school students.
Under the MoU signed for three years, vocational training centre - Industrial Training Institute, MANUU will arrange technical skill classes for the students from 9 to 12 grades of vista School and provide training through online and offline modes.
Dr. Arshia Azam, Associate Professor, MANUU Polytechnic& Principal I/c, MANUU-ITI and proposer of MoU from MANUU welcomed the gathering. Mr. Md. Amer, Instructor, ITI proposed vote of thanks.Master Justin, Miss Rohita and Miss Mahathi from Grade XI Vista School beautifully anchored the programme.
MANUU pays homage to Army heroes - organize Candle light vigil

Maulana Azad Nation Urdu University (MANUU) pays tribute to Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 other personnel of the armed forces by carrying a candle light vigil in their memoryon December 10, 2021. Gen Rawat and others were martyred in the tragic helicopter crash at Coonor, TamilNadu on December 08.
Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Registrar I/c, Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Extension Activities Chairman, Lt. M.A. Mujeeb,Associate NCC Officer, Dr. Viquarunnisa,Provost Girls hostel, Dr. Meraj Ahmad, Assistant Professor, MCJ, Dr. Iqbal Khan and MANUU NCC Cadets, NSS students carried out the candle light march in their memory.
Candle light march began from MANUU Administrative building andended at MANUU Bab-e-ilm. The candle lights in front of the late CDS Gen Bipin Rawat visage circling around were kept.
Prof. Siddiqui Mahmood said that, Gen Bipin Rawat's demise is a great loss for our nation. An inspiring soldier of distinguished military lineage, India will never forget his contribution. Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, while expressing condolences to the families and to the armed forces fraternity, said Indian Army and Indian Air Force and whole country mourns this big loss.
The gathering also observed two minutes of silence for the departed souls.
Nukkad Natak for covid awareness at MANUU

The University Drama Club at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in association with NSS Cell, MANUU initiated a series of awareness programmes about COVID-19.
As part of this series, a Nukkad Natak was performed in Boys and Girls Hostel on December 10, 2021 to educate the students and staff about the deadly virus.The performers also advise the viewers to use masks and get vaccines to be safe through the street play.
Prof. Mushtaq Patel, Provost Boy’s Hostel while praising the efforts of students urged the boarders to follow COVID appropriate behaviour. Dr. Viquar Unissa, Provost Girls Hostel advised girl students to use masks all the time and sanitize their hands regularly.Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell warned students against the deadly coronavirus and advised them to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
The Nukkad Natak was directed by Mr. Meraj Ahmad, Cultural Coordinator & Assistant Professor, MCJ. Students - Zameer Hasan, Shahzaan, Mazhar, Mustafeez, Qadir, Noor Mujassam, Majid, Nafis, Misbah, Fahim, shahnawaz, Nazakit and Musheerapresentedthe Nukkad Natak. In the second leg, the Nukkad Natak was also staged today at the different locations around MANUU campus.
