The Department of Economics, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing an extension lecture to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of MANUU on March 8, 2022 at 10.30 am.
Prof. Bheemeshwar Reddy from the Department of Economics and Finance, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus will deliver the lecture “Researches & Interventions in Studies on Poverty”.

MANUU to celebrate International Women's Day

Department of Women Education (DWE), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing various literary and cultural programs on the occasion of International Women's Day.
According to Dr. Ameena Tahseen, Head, DWE a symposium "Women's Empowerment: Problems and Strategies" will be held on March 8, 2022 at 3 to 5 pm at CPDUMT Auditorium, MANUU.
Prof. SM Rahmatulla, Pro Vice-Chancellor will preside over and Mr. Shah Nawaz Qasim, IPS, & Director, Minority Welfare, Govt. of Telangana will be the chief guest.
Prof. Padmaja Shah, Former Head, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, OU, Prof. Farida Siddiqui, Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences, Prof. Shahida, Director I/c, Center for Women Studies and Captain Syeda Salwa Fatima will also address.
MANUU Drama Club will present a play and a mono act on the theme of women empowerment. Chart Making Competition will also be organized.
In collaboration with Department of Economics an online extension lecture “Gender and Development” by Prof. Halima Sadia Rizvi, Head, Department of Economics, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi will also be organized on March 9.
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor will be presiding an online Women’s Poetry session "An evening to celebrate women's greatness" scheduled to be held on March 14 from 3.30 to 5.30 pm. Prof. Ashraf Rafi, Former Head, Department of Urdu, OU will be the chief guest and eminent poetess Tasneem Jauhar will be the guest of honour.
The programm will be telecast live on IMC MANUU Youtube channel.
