MANUU signs MoU with Crescent Institute, Chennai for academic

& research promotion

Hyderabad :

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) and prestigious deemed to be University, BS Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology (BSACIST), Chennai have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for promoting academic and research related activities.

Prof. Sk. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, signed the MoU on behalf of MANUU yesterday in the presence of Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU. Prof. T. Harinarayana, BSACIST represented the institute. Dr. A. Azad, Registrar, Crescent Institute had earlier signed the document in Chennai.

Prof. S M Rahmatullah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Saneem Fatima, Dean, Academics and Prof. Shakeel Ahmed, Consultant, School of Sciences were present on the occasion.

The MoU will benefit both the organizations mutually. MANUU is planning collaborative projects with BSACIST with outside funding. MANUU may further collaborate to strengthen BSACIST in language courses etc.  Both universities will also jointly use resources for the placement.

The MoU valid for three years, will facilitate collaborative research and exchange of faculties, students as well as access to various research facilities of the institute and exchange of library materials & research publications in the areas of mutual interest. Organizing of joint workshops/conferences/seminars are also part of the MoU.

 

MANUU Students Union takes Oath

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s newly elected Student Union for academic year 2021-22 has taken charge with oath taking ceremony held yesterday evening at DDE Auditorium. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor administered oath to the office bearers and presided over the ceremony.

Mohd. Mursaleen (student of MCA)President; Md. Abu Hamza (MBA), Vice President; Mohd. Haris (BTech), Secretary; Ms. Anam Jahan (MCJ), Joint Secretary and Waqar Ahmad (Management), Treasurer along with Executive Members of all Schools - Nahla Mol K, Safiullah, Md. Aquib Khan, Md. Said Alam, Mohd. Ahmad, Ahsanullah, Saif Ali and Md. Amir of Polytechnic  took over the reins of students union.

Prof. Ainul Hasan, while congratulating new members, advised them to find ways to move ahead and to never  give up hope in life. The Vice-Chancellor also spoke about safety measures provided to girls in MANUU campus, this is the reason large number of female students prefer to study here. The University has also approached Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Minister of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India, requesting to provide funds to improve various facilities. He expressed hope to get a positive response soon. He also answered various questions raised by the student union leaders.

Prof. SM Rahmatullah, Pro Vice-Chancellor was also present on the occasion. 

The newly elected President, Mohd. Mursaleen and Vice-President, Abu Hamza also spoke.

Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Chief Returning Officer, presented a brief report about the elections held on April 01 and introduced office bearers. Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf, Dean, Student’s welfare delivered the welcome address and Prof. M A Sami Siddiqui, Joint DSW convened the programme. Dr. K. M. ziyauddin, Assistant Dean proposed vote of thanks.
