“Shun negative thoughts and always look at positive side in life,” Dr. Oudesh Rani Bawa, eminent writer and columnist advised students today in the opening ceremony of Maulana Azad Day Celebrations at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Model School in Vattepally, near Falaknuma, Hyderabad. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, MANUU presided over and Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, MANUU was the Guest of Honour.

The celebrations will culminate on 11th November, 2022 with Azad Memorial Lecture.

Speaking as the chief guest, Dr. Oudesh Rani hoped that future generations will wiped out hatred  from the society. Religion means love for humanity and if we do not have respect for each other’s religion then we are not religious at all.  While appreciating the cultural programmes presented by the school students, she said that when new technology arrives, we should not become obsessed with it but take advantage of that technology. She described Urdu as a sweet language that was used to raise slogans during the freedom movement.

Prof. Ainul Hasan while encouraging students informed that ten percent of Model School Students were given admission in our university this year, as he had promised in previous Azad Day inaugural. He assured of giving all possible help to these children and said that opportunity for full education should be given to them, and they should not to be left in the middle. Prof. Hasan advised the students not to get trapped if someone misguides them. Do experiments in life to move forward and reach the goal. Learn some skills and also participate in sports along with your studies, he added.

Earlier, the students presented a splendid cultural programme blended with social messages. Bushra & Group set the tone of the morning by presenting a beautiful welcome song followed by the dance performance on song titled “School Chale Hum’’ by Hajera & Group. Tarranum & Group presented “Shub din Aaye Re’’. Nishat, Haniya and Ayesha delivered symbolic speech on short biography of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in Urdu, Hindi and English languages respectively. Yoga Act was performed by Ashfaq & Group. Faizan & partners performed qawwali. Class VIII & IX students presented Aerobic programme whereas Tahseen Group presented heart touching Mime Act with a social message. Thematic performance on the topic “Smart Phone Aur Hum’’ by Irfan group showing the life before and after smart phones touched one and all. Drama “Taleem Balghan” presented by Nayeem & Group delivered a thought provoking message. University Tarana was sung by Amreen & Group.

Prizes and mementos were also distributed to students in recognition of their performance in academics.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohd Mahmood, Dean, School of Education and Training, Prof. Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Chairman, Azad Day Celebration Committee, Dr. Zair Hussain, Controller of Examination, Prof. Mushtaq Patel, Provost, Boys Hostels, Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Head, Department of MCJ & PRO I/c shared the dais.

Dr Kafeel Ahmad, Principal, Model School delivered the welcome address. Ms. Asia Anjum Ara, Head Mistress, present the Vote of Thanks. Dr. Fahim Ashraf and Ms. Hajera Sultana conducted the proceedings.

The programme was webcast live on Instructional Media Centre MANUU Youtube channel.

 

 

Spot Admissions begins at MANUU

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University opened the online portal for Spot admissions for Merit Based Post Graduate courses for candidates, who wish to apply afresh for admission into different courses and for those candidates who had applied earlier and had not got admissions.

 

According to a notification issued by the Registrar MANUU, the last date for applying online is November 13, 2022. The candidates have to report in person at the respective department or campuses along with all relevant document from 10 am to 5 pm on November 14 and list of selected candidates will be displayed on November 15.  

 

The courses having vacancies at Hyderabad campus are MA (Legal Studies, Commerce, Economic, History, Islamic studies, JMC, Arabic, English, Hindi, Translation Studies, Persian, Urdu, Public Administration, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work & Women Studies) and MSc Mathematics. MA (Arabic, English, Persian and Urdu) available at Lucknow campus whereas MA (Economics, Islamic Studies, English and Urdu) in Srinagar campus.
