Profile of Zuhair Ahmad

Dr. Zuhair Ahmad has been serving as a Guest Faculty member in the Department of English at MANUU, Hyderabad since September 2023. Prior to this, he worked as Guest Faculty at Aligarh Muslim University, where he further honed his expertise as an educator and linguist. He holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). His academic career is distinguished by excellence, having received university gold medals for securing first position at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His doctoral research examines the classical poetic influence of Arabic on Urdu, integrating rigorous linguistic analysis with literary insight.

A recipient of the UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Dr. Ahmad has made notable contributions to higher education through the development of self-instructional materials for M.A. and B.A Linguistics programmes in Urdu, thereby improving access for distance learners. He has published several research articles in both Urdu and English in reputed national and international journals, demonstrating his bilingual scholarly engagement. Additionally, he has served as a reviewer for Scopus-indexed international journals, contributing to academic quality assurance and the advancement of peer-reviewed scholarship.
