The UGC-Malaviya Mission Teachers Training Centre (UGC-MMTTC) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University launched a three-day long Workshop on Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) today.
Speaking at the inaugural session, the Director, UGC-MMTTC, Prof. Saneem Fatima said that ‘the landscape of the Indian education system is changing rapidly and the software is an essential tool for conducting research in social sciences’.
More than 45 participants from across the country have registered for the programme. The programme aims to make the participants understand SPSS interface and data management, learn advanced statistical techniques, apply statistical methods to research contexts and develop skills in data visualization and interpretation. The workshop will feature 6 modules and involve experts from the field of statistics, social work, and business management.
‘The workshop spread out over three days will cover themes related to SPSS software fundamentals, descriptive statistics, advanced statistical techniques, data visualization and reporting and research-specific applications’ said the course coordinator & Assistant Director, Dr. Meraj Ahmed Mubarki.
The programme will conclude on the 8th January, 2025.
