Executive Summary Criterion-wise Summary on the Institution’s functioning: Criterion-II: Teaching Learning and Evaluation

MANUU has been adopting modern methods of teaching by using available technologies. The entire campus has been wifi-enabled. Students can remain connected even in their hostels. Classroom presentations, discussions, debates, seminars, project works, poster presentations, problem solving, use of technology resources, peer-teaching, in addition to lecture mode, are the techniques and methodologies which are employed for teaching. Almost all the teachers of MANUU use ICT tools, e-learning resources and provide different types of digital learning experiences to their students and always endeavour to make them self-learners.

MANUU has all examination rules and regulations in place and functioning, from setting-up of question paper to moderation of it, from continuous assessment to evaluation of answer scripts and declaration of results, and from re-counting to re-evaluation. The examination system has become largely automated. From paying of examination fees to the declaration of results everything is done through online integrated University Management System (iUMS).

MANUU has recently introduced the system of display of answer scripts to the students, and holding discussions thereof to improve the learning of the students and point out to them their shortcoming or excellence. The idea is to assess true teaching and learning environment of the University, its evaluation system and learning outcomes. The individual attention that the student receives makes him/her realise where he/she stands as to his/her learning; and on the other hand, the teacher, the department, the school and the University can measure the learning outcomes of the programme of study on offer.

MANUU conducts minimum of 180 days of teaching in its campus. MANUU strives to declare results within 30 days from the date of last examination in its campus based programmes. It also has a well-established examination related grievance redressal mechanism.

During the period of assessment MANUU has trained 2909 students to be teachers through its M.Ed, B.Ed and D.El.Ed programmes.
