Directorate of Admissions
The Directorate of Admissions was established by the University in the year 2017 based on the decision taken in the of 63rd Executive council meeting with an aim of undertaking centralized admissions to various courses offered by the University in a systematic, transparent, objective and student friendly manner.
Earlier, the Central Admission Committee (CAC) was looking after all the admissions of the University at HQs and other Satellite campuses and constituent Institutions. In view of the ever increasing workload and other allied responsibilities including upkeep and maintenance of student records and furnishing of student data to the UGC and MHRD from time to time, the necessity to put in place a permanent mechanism was felt to deal with the all admission related matters and its repository in the University was felt. Considering the pace of the growth of the students enrolment and the present need, the EC resolved to approve establishment of a separate “Directorate of Admissions” to deal with all admission related matters and its repository to be headed by a Director appointed by the Vice-Chancellor.
The Office of the Directorate of Admissions is headed by the Director and supported by the Joint Director and Assistant Director along with other supporting staff.
Activities of Directorate of Admissions:
- Issue of Notifications: The Directorate of Admissions issues notification for entrance and admission into various Ph.D., P.G., U.G and Diploma courses, Certificate and Part time Courses in both Regular and Distance mode.
- Publicity to reach to the Clientele
- Entrance Examinations: Conducts entrance examinations in coordination with “Controller of Examinations, MANUU to various Ph.D. and P.G., U.G and Diploma courses and after evaluation declare the results along with a rank wise merit list(s) with the help of CIT (Centre for Information Technology-MANUU).
- Counselling: Admission into all the programmes offered by various Departments at Head Quarters, Satellite Campuses and Constituent colleges will be made through a centralized counselling process.
- Issuance of Identity cards to all the students and staff of the University.
