POSTER EXHIBITION Theme “Protection of Women – A Social Responsibility” On 10th March 2015, @ Central Library, Exhibition Gallery, MANUU
Centre for Women’s Studies, conducted a poster Exhibition on 10th March, 2015 on the occasion of International Women’s Day, at Central Library Exhibition Area. This exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Khaja M. Shahid, Pro-Vice Chancellor, MANUU. Prof. S.M. Rahmatullah, Registrar & other Dignitaries accompanied him. A large number of faculty and students were present on this occasion and everybody appreciated the efforts of CWS and the students. Before this event being held, essay writing, poster making and slogan writing competition was also conducted for the students of MANUU. Many students actively participated.
Cultural Programme on the Theme “Ek Shaam Azmat-E-Niswan ke Naam” A Tribute to Women Grandeur by students of MANUU On 10th March 2015, @ DDE Auditorium, MANUU
The Centre for Women’s Studies organized a Cultural Programme at the DDE Auditorium at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the theme “Ek Shaam Azmat-E-Niswan ke Naam”. Prof. H. Khatija Begum, Dean School of Education & Training presided over this programme & Dr. Oudhesh Rani, Member NCERT was the chief guest. Students of different department of MANUU participated in this programme. A huge gathering of students was present in this programme. At the end of the programmes students received various prizes for the competitions such as Essay Writing, Slogan Writing, and Poster Making etc., conducted by CWS in the context of International Women’s Day Celebration – 2015

The Centre for Women’s Studies organized a Slogan Writing competition on 10th December, 2015 on the occasion of Human Rights Day at Dept. of Women Education, MANUU. Many students & Scholars of Department were participating in the competition.
Literary Cultural Competitions - 2016 @ MANUU Model School & Safdaria Girls High School
On the occasion of “National Girl Child Day” (24th January, 2016) the Centre for Women’s Studies, MANUU organized different activities / programmes for the awareness of the society towards Gender Equality, Girl Child Rights, specially the importance of Women’s Education. In this connection the CWS conducted various literary and cultural competitions such as;
- Essay writing on“Why Girls and Boys need equal Opportunities ”
- Elocution “Whether Girls and Boys have equal positions in the Society”
- Drawing and Painting “Mere Khawabon ki Parvaz”
Certificates and trophies has been distributed among the successful student of Literary & Cultural competitions held by Centre for Women’s Studies, in MANUU Model School, Vattepally, Hyd & Safdarya Girls High School, Asif Nagar Hyderabad.
Poster Competition on “Madar – e – Watan ko Salam” in connection with Azad Day Celebrations -2016 on 8th & 9th Nov, 2016, @ Seminar Hall, CULLC Building, MANUU
Centre for Women’s Studies, MANUU organized Two days Exhibition on Women freedom fighters entitled “Madar-E-Watanko Salam” from 8-11-2016 to 9-11-2016 at CULLC Seminar Hall, MANUU.
Mr. B. Narsing Rao, Freedom Fighter Participated as Chief Guest, and inaugurated the exhibition. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, preside over the programme, many teaching and non-teaching staff, students, Guests and journalists were present on this occasion. Mr. B. Narsing Rao, Freedom Fighter in his keynote address said that 45 women exhibited in this exhibition are participated in the struggles of freedom directly involved in the struggle of freedom some of them contributed by their wealth, some of them send their husband and sons in the battle of freedom and some of them strengthen the struggle of freedom by their writing for example Begum Sughra Humayun Mirza and Dr. Zeenat Sajida etc. He also highlighted the role of Ahsoka Kamla Devi in this struggle for freedom. He said that Kamla Devi look part with men in many battles of freedom.
He said there are many women contributed in the struggle of freedom directly or indirectly but they are in anonymity, there is a need to conduct research on these women so that everyone will know their services & role in the freedom struggle.
Hone’ble Vice Chancellor, MANUU, Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz in his presidential remarks said that there will be two reasons behind such programmes one is to remember those incident and personalities who has done great jobs in past and the second this is to setup a future plan inspired by them. He said that the battle of freedom has not stopped yet, because this is a battle against exploitation system, the exploitation and crime against women increasing day by day should we stop this struggle of freedom. The posters prepared on the contributions and pictures of Women freedom fighters, were highly appreciated by the viewers.

One Day gender sensitization program Organized in connection to International Girl Child Day, on 24th Jan, 2018, in collaboration with MAHITA & Action Aid India, at Minerva Grand Hotel, Secundrabad.
The program conducted exclusively for the dropout girls. More than 50 girls from across Hyderabad city participated in this program. Dr. Ameena Tahseen, In charge CWS, Director, Department of Women and Child welfare, Govt of Telangana, Ms. Sudha Murali, Project Director, UNESCO, Director, MAHITA, Ms Sajida Khan, Sound engineer, Counselor -BHAROSA Centre along With Ms Rafia Nausheen, Prog officer MAHITA took part in the program.
