Extension Lecture on Radiation and Safety

Event Description

The Vocational Studies and Skill Development School of Sciences MANUU, has organized an Invited Talk on Radiation and Safety measures for its students by Inviting eminent personality from United States of America, Michigan State University Associate Professor Dr.Qazi S Azher.

This programme was conducted on 10^th May,2023 at 2pm in the Central Library Auditorium of MANUU. Large number of students and faculty participated in this Lecture. Dr.Qazi S Azher delivered on the Radiation & Safety measures topics by focusing how students should be cautious in their day to day life with different types of radiation while they are in the job. He explained about different types of rays and their penetration levels. He has also informed about the salary packages in the USA being drawn by the Allied Health professionals which are more than the doctors.

Prof Salaman Ahmad Khan, Dean , School of Sciences has proposed welcome address and thanked the speaker for delivering lecture on the relevant topic which is not only useful to Medical imaging students but also to common public.

Prof.S.Maqbool Ahmed , Nodal Officer of the B.Voc Programme informed about MANUU Allied health courses 7 their success rate. He enlightened about first batch students placement in the various corporate Hospitals of Hyderabad. He even thanked the Placement Officer of MANUU Dr Yusuf Khan and Dr Salahuddin for their support in getting placement to our B.Voc MLT and MIT students. He also informed that our Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof Syed Ainul Hasan has initiated M.Voc programme this year in MANUU campus. This year MANUU has notified admissions to M.Voc Medical Imaging Technology and M.Voc Medical Technology with an intake of 20 seats in each programme. He further emphasized future plans of the Allied Health courses in MANUU.

Finally, Mr.Md Khaja Moinuddin , Guest faculty of B.Voc proposed vote of thanks. The program was anchored by Dr.Kulsum Zahra Guest Faculty of B.Voc Programme.
