It has adopted multidisciplinary approach towards legal education and develops a positive attitude in students to make them realize that the lawyers are an integral part of the system of adjudication, determination of policies and setting up of standards for regulation of various activities through relevant institutions. MANUU Law School currently offers 5 Years B.A. LL.B (Hons)**, 3- Years LL.B**, 2 Years M.A. (Legal Studies), One Year LL.M (with 6 specializations) and Ph.D. (Law) programmes. These programmes offers are intended to impart intensive knowledge and training in Law subjects and helps students to acquire wider perspectives both for administrative,managerial, compliance responsibilities and professional application. The said programs provide candidates with the opportunity to equip themselves for active and effective participation, as professionals, in legal counseling, advocacy and decision-making. Whether the context be courtroom or legislative hearing, attorney’s office or corporate board room, state agency, community center or international conference table, our graduates are being prepared with a special; focus on competency building in English communications, 21st Century skills and special legal skills.
Learning model focuses on activity based learning with Techniques of instruction includes lectures, problem-based learning, seminars, informal small group discussions, Moot Court, Trial Advocacy, Arbitration, Mediation competitions, inpidually supervised field and library research projects, and a variety of experiential methods. “Clinical” components, in the form of case law, real or simulated lawyers’ tasks, are an essential part of the UG law programs.
The LLM programme is a Regular (Full time) spanning one year (two semesters). 1st Semester will be common to all the students however in the 2nd semester the student will get an opportunity to specialize in one area out of 6 specialization areas . Students arealso required to practice teaching as well as a dissertation work. It, therefore, trains them forplacements in judicial and quasi-judicial bodies, regulatory authorities, commissions, voluntaryorganizations, Law Teaching, and other variety of sectors for legal compliance.The University is offering a Master's Degree programme (M.A.) in Legal StudiesThis programme is a Regular (Full time) spanning two years (four semesters). This programme enables the students to develop skills in law, learn how to review contracts, learn about Arbitration, Mediation, Conciliation and other Alternative Dispute Resolution methods.
The students understand and interpret the Law, which will enable them to face the competitiveexaminations and enhance their soft skills. Though, after completing this programme the students may not be eligible to practice as a advocate, it will enhance their capabilities to face the growing competition, their employability in NGOs, Civil Society Organizations, Health Sector, Corporate Sector.
