The following are the key issues, concerns and suggestions that emerged from the plenary session
- Policy discourse is must in the policy formulation and NEP consultation process is significant step forward
- Essence of the Constitution of India especially the values of equality and social justice must be reflected in the policy
- Given the radically changing socio-economic and political conditions at national and global levels, the NEP has to be a forward looking and dynamic policy with an essence of diversity and inclusion of Women specially.
- Higher education is critically dependent on socio-economic and political inequalities and vice-versa.
- Overall rates-GER, EER, HEA- are small and highly inadequate. Transition rates are high.
