Azad Day Celebrations begins at MANUU
Hyderabad:
Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is celebrating birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India, from November 6 to 11, 2023.
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, MANUUwill preside over the inaugural function on November 06, 10.00 am at MANUU Model School in Vattepalli, near Falaknuma. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, MANUU is the guest of honour.
MANUU is organizing various activities to commemorate the occasion. Azad Memorial Lecture will be held on 10th November, 9.30 am at DDE Auditorium in connection with National Education Day. Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education, GoI will be the Chief Guest & Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan will preside over. Prof. Salil Misra, BR Ambedkar University, Delhi will deliver Lecture “Maulana Azad and Making of Modern India”.
Conference on Deccan Maritime Outlook at MANUU

The HK Sherwani Centre for Deccan Studies (HKS-CDS) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organising one day Conference on “The Deccan: Maritime Outlook and Opportunities” in collaboration with Society for Indian Ocean Studies (SIOS), New Delhi on November 07, 2023.
According to Prof. Salma Ahmed Farooqui, Director, HKS-CDS, Amb. Sudhir Devare, IFS (Retd.), Chairperson, SIOS will address the inaugural and Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor will preside over. Admiral Arun Prakash, Former Naval Chief and Chief of Defence Staff will deliver keynote address on “Defence and Security Strategies in the Indian Ocean” whereas Dr. Malini V Shankar, IAS (Retd), Vice-Chancellor, Indian Maritime University, Chennai will address on “Technology: Shipping and Fishing in the Indian Peninsular Region”. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar will give introductory remarks.
The other speakers include Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, founder Director, IIM, Kozhikode, Prof. P V Rao, Director (Retd.), Indian Ocean Centre, OU, Prof. Krishnendra Meena, CSRD, SoS, JNU & Secretary General, SIOS and Dr. Sanjeev Ranjan, IAS (Retd.), Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, GoI.
