He provided a unique platform to crores of Urdu lovers across the globe by launching ETV Urdu in 2001.
These views were expressed today by Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor.
In his condolence message Prof. Ainul Hasan said that the pioneering services of Mr. Ramoji Rao will always be remembered in the history of Urdu journalism and his name will be written in golden words.
Mr. Rao expressed his love for Urdu language without any monetary consideration.
Mr. Ramoji Rao provided opportunities to countless pass outs from Maulana Azad National Urdu University to launch their careers in ETV Urdu and later in ETV Bharat.
Urdu University stands with Ramoji Rao's family and millions of his admirers in this hour of sorrow and grief, he added.
