Workshop on Mobile and Data Journalism concludes at MANUU

A two-Day Workshop on "Mobile and Data Journalism: Embracing Innovation in Media" organized by the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) concluded successfully with a collaborative environment where ideas flowed, connections were forged and visions for future of journalism were collectively envisioned.
Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, MANUU presided over the valedictory session held today at CPDUMT auditorium. Prof. Atish Prashar, Former Dean, School of Media, Arts & Aesthetics, CUSB, Gaya, Prof. Syeda Afshana, Media Education Research Centre University of Kashmir, Srinagar, Mr. Junaid Bahelmi, Eminent Educationist, Hyderabad and Mr. Shahid Qazi were the speakers.
Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Dean & Head, MCJ delivered the welcome address. Mr. Tahir Qureshi was the moderator of the programme and Mr. Meraj Ahmed, Assistant Professor proposed vote of thanks.
The participants were introduced to the fundamentals of mobile journalism (mojo) and concept of leveraging mobile not merely as a communication device but as powerful tools for capturing, editing and disseminating news content during the workshop.
Earlier, the morning session was addressed by Dr. Ranjeet Kumar, Dr. Amrit Kumar, Dr. Zeeshan, Ms. Tazeen pathan khan and Mr. Gulam Jeelani. Dr. M. Asif Ali, Dr. Sarfaraz Ansari , Dr. Abdullah and Mr. Shahid Qazi addressed the afternoon session.
