International Conference on Nahjul Balagha at MANUU

Hyderabad:

The Department of Arabic, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing International Conference Nahjul Balagha on 28 November, 2024 in collaboration with All India Nahjul Balagha Society, Hyderabad.

According to Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Department Head, Keynote Address will be delivered by Ayatullah Mahdi Mahdavipour (Iran) and Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan Vice-Chancellor will preside over the inaugural session. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar will preside over the valedictory session.

 

MANUU and ISGS to Host National Conference on Mahatma Gandhi’s Journalism

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), in collaboration with the Indian Society of Gandhian Studies (ISGS), will host a three-day national conference from January 27 to 29, 2025. The event will focus on the timeless principles of Mahatma Gandhi’s journalism, exploring their relevance in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.

Prominent speakers, including academics and practitioners, will delve into Gandhi’s contribution in shaping public opinion, his critique of sensationalism in media, and his emphasis on the use of indigenous languages to connect with the masses.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor will be the Chief Patron. Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Dean and Head, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism is Conference Director and Prof. Ehtesham Ahmad Khan is Conference coordinator. Mr. Meraj Ahmad is Convenor with Dr. Danish Khan, co-convenor and other faculty members of the department and representatives from ISGS will facilitate discussions across a range of topics, ensuring a comprehensive exploration of Gandhian thought.

Scholars and researchers from across India are invited to contribute their perspectives on Gandhian journalism. The conference seeks to foster dialogue and collaboration between academicians and activists, providing a platform to examine how Gandhi’s principles can guide the creation of an ethical and people-centered media environment in the digital age.

Content Writing Workshop held at IMC, MANUU

Hyderabad:

A one-day workshop on Educational News Bulletin was organized at the Instructional Media Centre (IMC), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU). The workshop aimed to train participants in content writing and production techniques for educational news bulletins.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, who emphasized the importance of professional training in creating impactful educational content. Mr. Mujahid Ali, Producer-I at IMC, along with Dr. Aslam Parwez, Dr. Mustafa Ali Sarwari, and Md. Aamir Badr, were the resource persons. They shared their expertise in news writing, editing, and production. Dr. Rizwan Ahmad, Director, IMC, delivered the opening remarks and highlighted the growing need for quality educational journalism in the digital age.

The valedictory session was graced by Registrar Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, who distributed certificates to the participants and appreciated their enthusiasm for learning new skills. The faculty and students were engaged in hands-on sessions and discussions, making it a productive and enriching experience during the workshop.
