Develop scientific temper and start thinking out of box - Prof. Kumar Molugaram

“The evolution of digital transformation has progressed by leaps and bounds, permeating every section of society and reshaping the way we live, works, and connect.” said Prof. Kumar Molugaram, Vice Chancellor, Osmania University Hyderabad  today at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU). The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, MANUU is organizing a two-day International Conference on Computational Methods, Data Science & Networking (ICCMDN-2025).

Prof. Kumar Molugaram was the Chief Guest and Prof. P. Fazal Rahaman, I/c Vice-Chancellor, MANUU presided over the inaugural session.

Prof. Kumar Molugaram delivered an insightful address on the remarkable evolution of digital transformation, highlighting its advancements across all sections of society, transcending barriers of literacy. He stressed on academician to focus on unsolved problem while dealing with research, innovation and technology especially with Artificial Intelligence. Prof. Molugaram asked the conference participant to develop scientific temper and to start thinking out of box. While congratulating MANUU he said that the work and achievements of the department of CSIT is commendable and Osmania University will feel happy to collaborate in such endeavours.

Prof. P.F. Rahman, highlighted the importance of evolving technological landscapes in promoting collaboration between academia and industry.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, MANUU in his address informed that from next academic year MANUU is going to start B.Tech in civil engineering which is a visionary initiative by our Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan. This will be a flagship programme with multidisciplinary approach and will be run under the School of Technology. He congratulated the department for their continuous effort and dedication in executing the knowledge transfer based skilled technical programmes on emerging technologies and stressed on outcomes of the conference that will not only contribute to the academic community but will also have a lasting impact on the broader field of data science in engineering. CS&IT department is having faculty of International caliber who have rich experience in dealing with international and national project, he added.

Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean, School of Technology and General Chair of ICCMDN-2025, briefed about the conference that brought together a global community of eminent academicians, researchers, industry experts and students.

Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Head of Department CS & IT and Chair of the conference ICCMDN 2025 welcomed the participants.

Dr. Jameel Ahamed, Conference Convener provided an overview of the conference highlighting its objectives and key focus areas.

Prof. Abdul Quaiyum Ansari, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi. Prof. Ghulam Nabi, University of Dundee, United Kingdom, Dr Biswajit Brahma, McKesson Corporation, USA and Dr. M.A. Hameed, Osmania University Hyderabad are the keynote speakers.

Around 200 participants attended the inaugural session. Ms. Afrah Fathima and Ms. Geeta Pattun anchored the programme. Prof. Syed Imtiyaz Hassan, Department of Computer Science & IT proposed the Vote of Thanks.
