MANUU to Launch MBA Program in Distance Mode

Hyderabad:

"In a move aimed at furthering the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is planning to launch an MBA programme in Urdu medium through distance mode this year. This will mark the first time in India that such a programme is being offered in the Urdu language." Prof. Mohammad Razaullah Khan, Director of the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) announced this at a symposium “Viksit Bharat@2047 and the Role of Distance and Online Education” organized by MANUU’s Bhopal Regional Centre in collaboration with Kasturba Girls College

He underscored MANUU's commitment to expanding access to education through distance and online platforms, citing this initiative as part of the university’s broader efforts to cater to diverse learning needs. In addition to MBA, Prof. Razaullah revealed plans for the introduction of an online Diploma in Social Media Journalism and a pilot project, the “Madarsa Connect Programme,” which will offer six-month English-speaking courses to students from 100 Madarsas.

The Chief Guest of the symposium, Shameemuddin (IAS), Former Senior Director of Global Skill Park, who emphasized the critical role of large-scale skilling in realizing the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision. Maulana Ali QadrHussaini, Deputy Qazi of Bhopal, praised madarsa students for their strong analytical skills and diligent work ethic, asserting that with modern educational opportunities, they could achieve excellence in various fields.

Mufti Mohammad Ahmad Khan, Mufti-e-Azam of Madhya Pradesh, stressed the need to integrate modern education with traditional madarsa learning, particularly through distance and online courses in Urdu.

Prof. Mohammad Halim Khan and Prof. ZarghamHaider also spoke on the occasion.

Dr. Mohammad Ahsan, Regional Director, RC Bhopal, urged madarsas to take advantage of the university’s programs to provide their students with broader educational opportunities. Prof. Noushad Husain, Principal, CTE Bhopal, echoed the sentiment that traditional education alone will not suffice to meet the growing educational demands of India’s population.
