Hyderabad:
To realize the vision of Skill India & with an objective to create employable, skilled technical health workers, the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) established the Department of Vocational Studies & Skill Development under School Of Sciences. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan officially launched the webpage of the department yesterday and also released the pamphlet detailing various allied health courses being offered.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, Prof Syed Ainul Hasan appreciated the content and design of the webpage and assured full support towards the development of the new Department. He advised the staff to work with dedication and sincerity to excel in their streams. The Vice-Chancellor also made an announcement regarding the progress in the HEFA proposal for the new School of Sciences and Department of Vocational Studies & Skill Development Building.
Prof PF Rahman, Senior Professor, Department of Zoology and Prof H Aleem Basha, Dean School of Sciences also spoke on the occasion.
Prof Najam ul Hasan, Prof Salman Ahmed Khan, Prof Arif Ahmed, Prof Rafeeq Abu Turab along with the faculty of Dept of Vocational Studies & Skill Development were present on the occasion. Prof. S Maqbool Ahmad, Nodal Officer delivered a welcome address and gave introduction of allied health courses in the university and their progress till date. The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Kulsoom Zahra.
Meanwhile, admissions are open for entrance based PhD Allied Health Sciences (MLT) and merit based postgraduate programme M.Voc (MLT & MIT). The last date for PhD is May 13, 2025 and for M.Voc application form can be submitted upto June 04, 2025. Online application form along with prospectus is available on the university website www.manuu.edu.in/RegularAdmissions.
