MANUU CS&IT hosted Internal Smart India Hackathon 2025
Hyderabad:
Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CS&IT), conducted its Internal Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 on September 27, 2025. This event served as a crucial screening platform to select and mentor student innovators for the upcoming national SIH 2025 grand finale.
Twenty-four teams, each with six members, participated addressing the problem statements from the official SIH 2025 list across various domains.
The jury panel, consisting of 7 distinguished professionals, evaluated the teams on nine rigorous criteria including innovation, technical feasibility, scalability, societal impact, design and user experience, quality of presentation, teamwork, future development potential, and overall clarity of thought. Along with their assessments, the jury provided personalized feedback and practical guidance to refine the prototypes. Three members from the industry joined the panel: Bala Prasad Peddigari, Chief Innovation Officer-TCS; Syed Mohammad Tajdar Ali, Associate Director – We Hub; and Tazeen Siddiqui, Director, Empower National Teachers Enrichment Academy.
Top 20 outstanding teams were shortlisted for the National SIH 2025 Grand Finale. Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Head, Department of CS & IT distributed certificate. Ms. Geeta Pattun, Assistant Professor, the SPOC for SIH 2025, coordinated the event.
The inauguration was hosted by A Nahid Choudhary, Assistant Professor. Shahana Sarawat, Assistant Professor, proposed vote of thanks.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today organized Preventive Health Checkup Camp under Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivir for Housekeeping and Sanitation workers at University's Health Centre.
Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar inaugurated the camp. Dr. K. Riyaz Medical Officer and other staff of University Health Centre participated in the camp.
As part of Swachhata Hi Seva 2025, a door-to-door cleanliness awareness campaign was also conducted in the residential area of MANUU campus. Students & residents joined hands for a healthy, sustainable future.
