Launch of the Divyang SARTHI Project’s Beta Version

 

Hyderabad:

 

The Divyang SARTHI Project (Beta Version), an initiative aims to strengthen digital accessibility and inclusive learning for persons with intellectual disabilities nationwide was launched today in an event hosted by the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU). This is a national project supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India

 Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor launched the Divyang SARTHI Portal (Beta Version), marking the beginning of the national deployment of digital learning modules, assessment tools, and structured pedagogical support for stakeholders working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Vice Chancellor in his presidential address highlighted MANUU’s growing national role in socially impactful, technology-enabled research and education.

 Dr Santosh Kumar Pandey, Additional Director, MeitY, Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, MANUU and Dr T. Vijaya Kumar, Head, CESD, NIRDPR also addressed the gathering.

 Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean, School of Technology and Chief Investigator of the project in his welcome address outlined the initiative's journey since its sanctioning in December 2023.

 The Special addresses were delivered by Dr Pankaj Maru, Chairman, Expert Committee and Shri Ganesh Ji, Head of Department, NIEPID. Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Head, Department of Computer Science & IT delivered a Vote of Thanks.
