MANUU Launches AI-based Audio-Visual Lessons for Distance Mode Learners

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad launched artificial intelligence-based audio-visual lessons for its distance mode learners at the inaugural session of a two-day National Workshop-cum-Ordientation Programme for its Regional Directors, Assistant Regional Directors, and Coordinators held on 12-13 January 2026. MANUU has become the first Indian university to use AI for developing audio-visual lessons in Urdu.

 

The workshop-cum-orientation programme was attended by more than one hundred participants from all over the country that included coordinators of learner support centers (LSCs), regional directors (RDs), assistant regional directors (ARDs)and other teaching and non-teaching staff of the university.

 

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session held yesterday. The Director of Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Prof. Razaullah Khan was the Special Guest and  former MANUU Professor Ramesh Ghanta was also present.

 

The main objective of the programme was to train and provide orientation to the coordinators of MANUU’s learning support centers about various processes involving distance and online education. The workshop also aimed at building a bridge between LSC coordinators, RDs, ARDs and MANUU teaching and non-teaching staff. The Director of CDOE praised the work of LSC coordinators, calling them "nation builders."

 

The coordinators of the ten top-performing LSCS were awarded with cash prizes for their outstanding work.

 

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Nikhat Jahan.

 

Prof. Siddiqui Mohd Mahmood, Dean Student Welfare (DSW) MANUU was the chief guest at the valedictory session held today . On this occasion Certificates of Appreciation were given to 47 LSCs for admitting more than 100 students during the last admission cycle.
