Rizwan Ahamd appointed member for IFFI Technical Committee

Hyderabad:

Mr. Rizwan Ahamd, Director, Instructional Media Centre (IMC), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), has been nominated as a member of the Technical Committee for the 57th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2026, scheduled to be held in Goa from November 20 to 28, 2026.

The committee comprising eminent professionals from leading national institutions and the Indian film industry was constituted by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) serving as the nodal agency for the festival.

The nomination of Mr. Rizwan Ahamd reflects his longstanding contributions to film education, digital learning, media technologies and the audiovisual sector. With over 25 years of professional experience, he has worked at the intersection of cinema, instructional design, digital learning and technological innovation. He also has served as a consultant and expert for several national and international organisations and institutions. His professional engagements include contributions to initiatives associated with UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on AI and audio-visual media, the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.

His appointment is a matter of pride for MANUU which highlights University’s growing engagement with the wider media and audiovisual sector.
