“Muslim Youth and the Spirit of Pluralism" Keynote address by MANUU VC

The Department of Political Science and the Department of Islamic Studies, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in collaboration with Billion Connect Private Limited is organizing three-day National Workshop from November 5 to 7, 2026.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU delivered a keynote address “Muslim Youth and the Spirit of Pluralism: Strengthening Communal Harmony and Shared Citizenship” during the inaugural held today at MANUU.

Highlighting the importance of idealism, Prof. Ainul Hasan observed that idealism represents the refinement of our thoughts and the development of awareness and consciousness. It enables individuals to introspect, recognise their shortcomings and work towards self-improvement.

He emphasised the need to sustain dialogue among different civilisations. He stated that the exchange of ideas, constructive discussions, questioning and the positive acceptance of differences of opinion are essential for building a healthy society.

Prof. Mohammed Habib, Workshop Co-Convener and Head, Department of Islamic Studies delivered the welcome address and highlighted the aims and objectives of the workshop. Prof. A.Nageswara Rao, Head, Department of Political Science introduced the workshop and highlighted the significance and academic and social relevance of its theme.
