Workshop on “Action Research” inaugurated at MANUU

The Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers (CPDUMT) and The Dean, Research & Consultancy of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is conducting five days online workshop “Action Research” from December 7 to 11, 2020. 

Prof. S M. Rahmatullah, Vice Chancellor I/c, MANUU while delivering the presidential address at the inaugural programme held yesterday, expressed that society cannot develop without realizing the requirements of education, training and research. He further emphasized that research is vital for the welfare of humanity. It is important for teachers to understand the importance and usefulness of education and training and also to be aware of the demands of research work. Urdu medium teachers should take the lead in solving the problems by utilizing the views of experts on action research, he added.

In the first technical session, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd Mahmood, Registrar I/c while discussing in detail about “Action Research”, said that the main aim of action research is to find an immediate solution to the teaching problem with the help of existing resources.

Prof. Mohd Abdul Sami Siddiqui, Director, CPDUMT, highlighted the aims and objectives of the workshop. Earlier, Prof. Salma Ahmad Farooqi, Dean, Research and Consultancy welcomed the participants and guests. Dr. Viquar Unnisa , Associate Professor, Dept. of Education and Training & Coordinator workshop conducted the proceedings.
