Press Release: NCB conducts Awareness drive at MANUU

MANUU is a drug free campus, we even don’t allow smoking in our University, declared Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today in an awareness programme organized against “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and Pledge Campaign - Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs”. The programme was conducted by Narcotic Central Bureau (NCB), Hyderabad, Sub-Zone at DDE Auditorium, MANUU campus to create and spread awareness against narcotic drugs.

Prof. Ainul Hasan also informed that University already has an Anti Drug Committee under his chairmanship.

Shri P. Aravindan, IPS, Zonal Director, NCB, while addressing said students should only focus on studies and he advised them to shun drugs and other distractions. Mrs. Shilpavalli, DCP, Madhapur Zone, in her address described the role of Police in controlling the drug menace and spoke about legal punishment for drug abuse. Dr. Devika Rani K, Director, Amritha Foundation Society, Hyderabad through her power point presentation detailed about the ill effects of Drugs on the society.

The pledge “Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs” was administered by Shri Sumit Arya, Superintendent, NCB, Hyderabad Zone. Anti Drug poster prepared by Cyberabad Police was also released.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Dean School of Education & Training & Coordinator programme gave introduction about MANUU. Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Proctor, & programme coordinator welcomed the gathering and also proposed vote of thanks.

Mr. S P Naqvi, Intelligence Officer, NCB, Mr. Tirupathi, S.H.O. Raidurgam and other police officers along with large number of MANUU students, teaching and non-teaching staff attended the programme

Faculty Induction Programme concludes at MANUU

UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has conducted a month long Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) which concluded today. The FIP, started on 17th May 2022.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU in the valedictory session opined to create confidence among the students fraternity, there is need to involve the students and create confidence among them. Talk to them, if there are issues, then resolve it through dialogues, advised the Vice Chancellor .

Prof. Tahseem Bilgrami, Director, HRDC in her address said that the intention behind conducting FIP was to sensitive the teaching staff to all aspects of teaching including governance and even stress relief.

The Programme consisted of 49 sessions has many resource persons from diverse subject backgrounds and Forty one Assistant Professors from the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu attended the programme.

 Dr. Meraj Ahmed Mubarki, Assistant Director proposed vote of thanks. The UGC-HRDC has recently secured the third position among 66 centers in UGC assessment.
