MANUU organizes blood donation camp

Hyderabad

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has organized a blood donation camp today as part of the ongoing Azad Day Celebrations in collaboration with Srikara Blood Bank and Victoria Welfare Society.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, inaugurated the camp and expressed his happiness to see students actively participating in this kind of social welfare work. Srikara Medical Officer, Dr. Omkar was the camp supervisor and Mr. Adil Khan represented Victoria Welfare Society. Dr. Khutubuddin Ansari, I/c Health Center spoke on the benefits of blood donation.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Chairman, Social Responsibility & Extension Activities committee appreciated the students for coming forward to donate blood and briefed about blood donation awareness campaign. During the campaign, the NSS volunteers and NCC cadets held a rally in the campus. Mr. B. Bikshapati, NSS Program Officer proposed vote of thanks. Prof. Shakeel Ahmed, Dr. Alimuddin, Mr. Meraj Ahmed, Dr. Iqbal Khan, Dr. Danish Khan, Dr. Adnan Bismillah were also present.

 

MANUU organizes ‘Azad Walk’  on Education Day Eve

Hyderabad: 

Maulana Azad National Urdu University, has organized ‘Azad Walk’ at the campus today as part of the ongoing Azad Day Celebrations in run up to National Education Day on 11th November. 

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan  flagged off the Walk from Open Air Theatre at 4.00 pm. Large number of Students, teachers and employees participated in the Walk which ended at Main Gate of MANUU Campus. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, OSD II also graced the occasion.

During walk, Drama Club students presented Nukkad Natak on the topic “Mental Health” with the name “Soonch ke Dekho” directed by Dr. Adnan Bismillah.

Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Head, Department of MCJ & PRO I/c spoke about the importance of the event. Mr. Meraj Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Department of MCJ was the coordinator of the Azad Walk. Prof. Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dr. Ameena Tahseen  were also present.

 

Quiz competition ends in MANUU

Hyderabad: 

Maulana Azad National Urdu University yesterday held final round of  quiz competition as part of the Azad day celebrations offline at Syed Hamid Library Auditorium.

According to Dr Jarrar Ahamad, Coordinator-Quiz, total of 507 students participated in the first round among which 126 were female students and 381 male students. 112 students qualified for the second round and 50 were selected. Top 10 Students from different streams have participated in the final round. Muhammad Haris (PhD Scholar), Department of History, Muhammad Asif (B.Ed.), Muhammad Naseem (M.Ed.), both from Department of Education and Training, secured the first, second and third positions respectively.

The Chairperson, Azad Day Celebrations core committee, Prof. Syed Aleem Ashraf Jaisi and Convener, Dr. Ahmed Khan congratulated the winners.  Prizes and certificates will be distributed to the winners on November 11. Dr. Bibi Raza Khatoon, Dr. Qasimullah, Dr. Faheem Ashraf were the jury members for final round. Dr. Abu Shaheem Khan, Dr. Qaisar Ahmed, Dr. Naushad Hussain and Dr. Akhtar Parveen were the judges in the first and second rounds which were held online on November 7.

The members of the quiz committee - Dr. Sumi VS, Ms. Ismat Fatima, Dr. Talha Farhan, Dr. Samad TV, Mr. Ashraf Nawaz, Dr. Umm Salma, Mr.Jahangeer Alam, Mr. Muhammad Gufran Barkati, Dr. Shaista Parveen, Dr. Tasneem Ahmed, Dr. Sheikh Ehtishamuddin, Mr. Mohammad Asim, Mr. Habib Ahmed, Dr. Zubair Ahmed and students were present in large numbers.

 

Maulana Azad Memorial Lecture today at MANUU

Hyderabad: 

Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organizing Maulana Azad Memorial Lecture in connection with National Education Day and to mark the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on 11th November, 2022 at 10.30 am in DDE Auditorium.

According to Dr. Ahamad Khan, Director I/c, Centre for Urdu Culture Studies, Prof. Deepak Kumar, Former Professor, History of Science & Education, JNU will deliver the Maulana Azad Memorial Lecture “Education and Critical Thinking: A Historical Perspective” to mark the occasion. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan will preside over.

 

MANUU team wins match at VC Cricket Cup Tournament

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Staff Cricket team  has won the match in 18th All India Vice-Chancellors Cricket Cup Tournament 2022 at Choudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana. MANUU beat GADVASU by 43 runs.

MANUU won the toss and decided to bat first scoring 137 runs in 18.4 Over’s. GADVASU was all out in 17 over’s by scoring only 94 runs. Dr. Mohammed Yousuf Khan, Captain Scored 43 runs, Abdulrub Bin Mohsin scored 26 runs and got 2 wickets and Rafiq Abdullah got 4 Wickets in 2 over’s by giving 10 runs for MANUU. Abdulrub Bin Mohsin was declared man of the match.

 

Social Work Orientation Programme at MANUU

Hyderabad:

The Department of Social Work, Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organising One Week Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students from 7th to 12th November 2022.

Prof. Md. Shahid Raza, Head, Department of Social Work delivered the welcome address in the inaugural session.

Mr. Abu Osama, Assistant Professor presented a glimpse of video clip covering the whole aspects of the department journey and curricular and cocurricular activities.

The programme in-charge, Dr. Md. Aftab Alam gave detail about orientation programme. Mr. PSN Murthy (retired from SIDBI as Deputy General Manager), Ms. Jameela Nishat, Director, Shaheen Women’s Resource and Welfare Association, Hyderabad and Dr. Farzana, Head of Programs, My Choices Foundation, Hyderabad are invited to interact with students. The faculty members from social work department will also be taking sessions on different aspects of MSW course curriculum. Prof. Farida Siddiqui, Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences conveyed well wishes to the students. MSW students and PhD scholars participated in the programme.

Prof. Mohd Shahid and Mr. Md. Israr Alam were also present. The inaugural session was conducted by Mr. Shafeeque Ahmad, PhD scholar. Mr. Abu Osama presented the vote of thanks.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organizing Maulana Azad Memorial Lecture in connection with National Education Day and to mark the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on 11th November, 2022 at 10.30 am in DDE Auditorium.

According to Dr. Ahamad Khan, Director I/c, Centre for Urdu Culture Studies, Prof. Deepak Kumar, Former Professor, History of Science & Education, JNU will deliver the Maulana Azad Memorial Lecture “Education and Critical Thinking: A Historical Perspective” to mark the occasion. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan will preside over.

 

MANUU team wins match at VC Cricket Cup Tournament

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Staff Cricket team  has won the match in 18th All India Vice-Chancellors Cricket Cup Tournament 2022 at Choudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana. MANUU beat GADVASU by 43 runs.

MANUU won the toss and decided to bat first scoring 137 runs in 18.4 Over’s. GADVASU was all out in 17 over’s by scoring only 94 runs. Dr. Mohammed Yousuf Khan, Captain Scored 43 runs, Abdulrub Bin Mohsin scored 26 runs and got 2 wickets and Rafiq Abdullah got 4 Wickets in 2 over’s by giving 10 runs for MANUU. Abdulrub Bin Mohsin was declared man of the match.

 

Social Work Orientation Programme at MANUU

The Department of Social Work, Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organising One Week Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students from 7th to 12th November 2022.

Prof. Md. Shahid Raza, Head, Department of Social Work delivered the welcome address in the inaugural session.

Mr. Abu Osama, Assistant Professor presented a glimpse of video clip covering the whole aspects of the department journey and curricular and cocurricular activities.

The programme in-charge, Dr. Md. Aftab Alam gave detail about orientation programme. Mr. PSN Murthy (retired from SIDBI as Deputy General Manager), Ms. Jameela Nishat, Director, Shaheen Women’s Resource and Welfare Association, Hyderabad and Dr. Farzana, Head of Programs, My Choices Foundation, Hyderabad are invited to interact with students. The faculty members from social work department will also be taking sessions on different aspects of MSW course curriculum. Prof. Farida Siddiqui, Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences conveyed well wishes to the students. MSW students and PhD scholars participated in the programme.

Prof. Mohd Shahid and Mr. Md. Israr Alam were also present. The inaugural session was conducted by Mr. Shafeeque Ahmad, PhD scholar. Mr. Abu Osama presented the vote of thanks.

MANUU organizes blood donation camp

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has organized a blood donation camp today as part of the ongoing Azad Day Celebrations in collaboration with Srikara Blood Bank and Victoria Welfare Society.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, inaugurated the camp and expressed his happiness to see students actively participating in this kind of social welfare work. Srikara Medical Officer, Dr. Omkar was the camp supervisor and Mr. Adil Khan represented Victoria Welfare Society. Dr. Khutubuddin Ansari, I/c Health Center spoke on the benefits of blood donation.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Chairman, Social Responsibility & Extension Activities committee appreciated the students for coming forward to donate blood and briefed about blood donation awareness campaign. During the campaign, the NSS volunteers and NCC cadets held a rally in the campus. Mr. B. Bikshapati, NSS Program Officer proposed vote of thanks. Prof. Shakeel Ahmed, Dr. Alimuddin, Mr. Meraj Ahmed, Dr. Iqbal Khan, Dr. Danish Khan, Dr. Adnan Bismillah were also present.

 

MANUU organizes ‘Azad Walk’  on Education Day Eve

Maulana Azad National Urdu University, has organized ‘Azad Walk’ at the campus today as part of the ongoing Azad Day Celebrations in run up to National Education Day on 11th November. 

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan  flagged off the Walk from Open Air Theatre at 4.00 pm. Large number of Students, teachers and employees participated in the Walk which ended at Main Gate of MANUU Campus. Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, OSD II also graced the occasion.

During walk, Drama Club students presented Nukkad Natak on the topic “Mental Health” with the name “Soonch ke Dekho” directed by Dr. Adnan Bismillah.

Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Head, Department of MCJ & PRO I/c spoke about the importance of the event. Mr. Meraj Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Department of MCJ was the coordinator of the Azad Walk. Prof. Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dr. Ameena Tahseen  were also present.

 

Quiz competition ends in MANUU

Hyderabad: 

Maulana Azad National Urdu University yesterday held final round of  quiz competition as part of the Azad day celebrations offline at Syed Hamid Library Auditorium.

According to Dr Jarrar Ahamad, Coordinator-Quiz, total of 507 students participated in the first round among which 126 were female students and 381 male students. 112 students qualified for the second round and 50 were selected. Top 10 Students from different streams have participated in the final round. Muhammad Haris (PhD Scholar), Department of History, Muhammad Asif (B.Ed.), Muhammad Naseem (M.Ed.), both from Department of Education and Training, secured the first, second and third positions respectively.

The Chairperson, Azad Day Celebrations core committee, Prof. Syed Aleem Ashraf Jaisi and Convener, Dr. Ahmed Khan congratulated the winners.  Prizes and certificates will be distributed to the winners on November 11. Dr. Bibi Raza Khatoon, Dr. Qasimullah, Dr. Faheem Ashraf were the jury members for final round. Dr. Abu Shaheem Khan, Dr. Qaisar Ahmed, Dr. Naushad Hussain and Dr. Akhtar Parveen were the judges in the first and second rounds which were held online on November 7.

The members of the quiz committee - Dr. Sumi VS, Ms. Ismat Fatima, Dr. Talha Farhan, Dr. Samad TV, Mr. Ashraf Nawaz, Dr. Umm Salma, Mr.Jahangeer Alam, Mr. Muhammad Gufran Barkati, Dr. Shaista Parveen, Dr. Tasneem Ahmed, Dr. Sheikh Ehtishamuddin, Mr. Mohammad Asim, Mr. Habib Ahmed, Dr. Zubair Ahmed and students were present in large numbers.
