MANUU to host special lectures by Dr. Peggy Mohan

Hyderabad:

The Maulana Azad Chair (MAC) at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing two special lectures  “The Story and Prehistory of Urdu” and “Dakhni: A Hybrid Language of the Borderlands” by Dr. Peggy Mohan, Visiting Professor, Ashoka University, Haryana on March 09, 2023 from 2.30 pm onwards at Saiyid Hamid Library Auditorium.

Dr. Peggy Mohan taught Linguistics at JNU, New Delhi and authored 4 books including the book “Wanderers, Kings, Merchants - The Story of India Through Its Languages” (Penguin).

Prof. Syed Imtiaz Hasnain, Chair-Professor, Maulana Azad is the Convenor of the lectures.
