The department conducts a 4-Year Dual Major B.Sc.(Hons./Research) with combinations (Physics, Mathematics), (Physics, Chemistry), and (Physics, Computer Science), with an intake of 20 students per combination. The curriculum of undergraduate and postgraduate programs is in alignment with National Education Policy-2020 and UGC Quality Mandate for Higher Education Institutions-2021. The department is well-equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and offers a vibrant Ph.D. program with research opportunities in cutting-edge areas of Physics, including Solid-State Physics, Atmospheric Physics, Theoretical Physics, Astronomy, Materials Science, and Applied Optics. Students are encouraged to undertake projects and dissertations to deepen their academic understanding and research skills. To further enrich their learning experience, the department regularly organizes a variety of academic activities, including Extension Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, and National and International Conferences.
