Proctor Office

Proctor shall monitor the disciplinary climate prevailing in the student community. He will look after all the matter related to the discipline among students.

Statutes of the University states that :

• 1. The Proctor shall be appointed by the Executive Council on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor.
  2. The Proctor shall hold office for a term of two years and shall be eligible for re-appointment. Further the statutes states under the heading of “Maintenance of discipline among students of the University” that:

• 1. All powers relating to discipline and disciplinary action in relation to students of the University shall vest in the Vice-Chancellor.
  2. The Vice-Chancellor may delegate all or any of his powers as he deems proper to a Proctor and to such other officers as he may specify in this behalf.
