Centre for Urdu Culture Studies has a separate library with the vision to collect all available reading material on Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and also written by Maulana himself along with Urdu Literature and to provide services to the visitors and scholars. The library is under process of automation. The CUCS wishes to establish/develop its library as a research cell for the Urdu lovers & scholars. In future this library will be treated as an authority cell for UrduLanguage, Literature and Culture.
The library collection consists of rare and valuable reading materials useful for research scholars and Urdu lovers. Acknowledging the importance of the library some renowned personalities of Hyderabad and other cities have donated about 5,000 rare and valuable books, 4,000 magazines and 200 manuscripts from their personal collections.
Procurement of Rare Urdu Manuscripts, Books and Journals:
The CUCS has corresponding and communicating various institutions, libraries, research centres across the country as like Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library, Patna; National Library, Kolkata; Rampur Raza Library, Rampur; A. P. State Archive and Research Institute, Hyderabad; Osmania University, Hyderabad; Idara-eAdabiyat-e-Urdu, Hyderabad; National Museum, New Delhi etc. to provide or donate their Urdu Manuscripts, Rare books, out of print and valuable Urdu Books and Journals
In this regard, we have received positive responses from Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library, Patna; A. P. State Archive and Research Institute, Hyderabad; and Idara-eAdabiyat-e-Urdu, Hyderabad and they are agreed to provide or donate the digitized or Xerox copies of Urdu manuscripts and of rare books.
Apart from this CULLC is also appealing the individuals / Urdu lovers, who have a good collection of manuscripts, rare and valuable books and journals. The CULLC has received the some Books and Journals through the donations. The names of donors are as follows:
